Hi Canada,
Ottawa has been off the charts!! There has been so much favour on the team as we have continued in the Siege mandate onsite at our nation's capital. We feel like we own the place we are so at home here.
We had a great rally on the Parliament steps on Tues when we declared the Josiah covenant together. Several key prayer leaders from the nation showed up to be a part. The generation rose up and committed to be a voice for biblical righteousness and justice in the gates of influence in the nation....and the Parliament grounds and all who were there stood as a witness. It was a thrilling time for me and we could feel such authority as we declared this covenant.
After this the older generation surrounded us to pray a blessing over what had just happened. The whole thing was sealed up in such a perfect way. (And as a bonus one of the key Gen-X papers in the area (Dose) reported on the event!)
In the days to follow we have me with several key politicians (3 Senators and several MP's/MPPs). We were all amazed at the continued favour the Lord was giving us and the doors He opened...with the Senate especially. Awsome stuff.
Our last meeting was with Pierre Poillievre and was more than the cherry on the ice-cream. He is the youngest Canadian MP and is on fire for traditional morality, and not afraid to take a stand for it. In our time together her basically spoke our own message (calling the generation to rise up and be a voice) in his own words back to us. I wanted to cry it was so amazing.
The team is doing well...we all start to head back to home posts tomorrow but are FULL OF VISION for what is to come. The SIEGE HAS BEGUN AND IT IS NOT STOPPING. We are looking at doing another thrust in October focusing on Ottawa (stay tuned). Also we will be posting more of the articles that came out during the tour and PICTURES up on the blog shortly so make sure and come back to visit us here in the days to come.
Thanks again for all your prayers.
We love you Canada.
Grace.

Well, Faytene and team, I just had to leave this brief comment after emailing Faytene personally and sharing my excitement for your vision and subsequent obedience. The Lord has surely birthed a passionate movement and we, in Eastern Canada are all about it! God bless you for your radical obedience in this hour...our country is crying out for the sons and daughters to come forth and be that voice...declaring life and light for our nation. Go Seige team. I love how the Lord seems these days to birth something and then grows it as it unfolds with His suddenlys!
Bless the team with a holy "unwind" in the Spirit and give them voices and hearts of clarity to communicate and impart all that You have done in and through them these past weeks, Lord!
Blessings,Kelly, a friend in NB
Being on the Josiah Team was a life changing experience for me. Over the last couple of years, I have witnessed the ways God has brought leaders into the lives of students. MyCanada is an example of this - it left me and others on the team with the faces and stories of our leaders. Sharing with these individuals, our commitment as youth to see a generation living out Christ's healing for our nation had a way into into our MPs' and Senators' hearts. I will never forget the time we had with a young MP who clung onto Faytene for life as we prayed for him. Pastoral care is so needed in our government for those who now know Christ and those who don't. I have come away with a much better sense of the importance of prayer and compassion needed for all our leaders - those who have made honorable decisions and those who have not.
Blessings,
