Hey everyone!

Just thought I would send this in after one crazy week! I contacted my MP (Royal Galipeau) a couple of weeks after The Cry 2 Him and his offices contacted me the next day. After submitting an outline of what I would be speaking about- they told me I would have to wait for at least three to eight weeks before even getting an interview. But God had other ideas. I was contacted this past Tuesday (Aug.15) and was asked to come in the next afternoon.

Wednesday I was up super early because I needed to get my last minute thoughts together and really spend time with God to make sure that I was on the right track before heading into work for a couple of hours. I got off work an hour before the meeting- and really couldn't focus on the content and was considering not going in because I wouldn't be effective. But I knew that God was bigger than my flesh- and I pushed through and went to the meeting- I am sooo glad I did.

I knew from my research that Mr. Galipeau had a lot of the same viewpoints that I would be sharing- so it took away some of the nerves. In the twenty minutes I was with him, we ended up speaking on all of the major issues that are coming up in government. He was very candid and honest in speaking about the laws and his opinions on the subjects. We got a lot further than I expected and was truly blown away by the whole experience.

The most memorable thing that occurred was when I asked how I could help him. He gave me such encouragement- and I have a feeling that he will be contacting me in the next couple of weeks about ways to help him out. Then- (just as I was about to ask)- he told me to pray for him. I told him that I have been praying for him and would continue to do so. Then I had the opportunity to pray with him. I am truly blessed to have experienced this. It was truly a God moment and I am thankful that God gave me the opportunity to meet with Mr. Galipeau.

It was such an awesome experience that I am getting in contact with the other members of parliament in the Ottawa area.
