This past week while in Edmonton Kayle and I got pulled into a meeting with Rahim Jaffer (chair of the Conservative Caucus) and Laurie Hawn. It was a sweet meeting. We were the young ones at the table (check out the picture). I was so blessed when we went around the table to introduce ourselves one by one.

Rahim knows us well because we helped in the election and he was the one that met with 80 young adults when we were there in March (remember the crazy story about us getting access to the government seats before the government sat--so wild!). I was not expecting Mr. Hawn to have a clue about us. He is a new MP and a great guy. I was delighted to see his face light up when it came to us. He knew all about us, the work we are doing and that we are having an impact Sweetness! What an encouragment--like a ripple in a pond, the things we release (as we are led by the spirit) ripple far beyond our view. The best is yet to come.

Well we did it our first team has met with Mr. Merv Tweed. Our 2nd team goes out tomorrow to meet with Mr. Vic Towes. Any how. Our meeting with Mr. Merv Tweed went really well. He is such a down to earth guy. We just totally thanked him for all the time that he spends away from his family and being in office. We just honored him by thanking him. We told him that there were thousands of other people like us who are totally interested in seeing Canada changed and generally interested in Christian Values and Morals. We told him that we want to see generations to come to be proud to be Canadian. We also told him our hearts on the issues/bill that are coming up. He listened to us and as we were talking we all felt the anointing fall in the room. It was so wonderful. I know that we were a blessing to him. He said that if and when we go to Ottawa again that he would be more then happy to meet with us and to let us have an opportunity to see the buildings. So exciting. God is doing huge things in our Brandon. He told us that we (Brandon) are located in the Centre of Canada. I know that God is going to be using Mr. Merv Tweed and his voice. There are huge things going to happen. Expect it! We even had an opportunity to pray and invite him out to church. We offered him the gift that was on the 4mycanda website. He really liked that! We are making future plans to meet with other MP's from around Manitoba.

Mr. Tweed really encouraged us to meet with other MP's and the Liberal parties! So we are going to be a voice a strong voice operating as one! I am so encouraged to go meet with others and see MY Nation and all the Soldiers that we are running after things of God. I am so excited that we are able to do this and encourage others to do the same. Thank you all for your help in getting our first meeting!

Hey everyone!

Just thought I would send this in after one crazy week! I contacted my MP (Royal Galipeau) a couple of weeks after The Cry 2 Him and his offices contacted me the next day. After submitting an outline of what I would be speaking about- they told me I would have to wait for at least three to eight weeks before even getting an interview. But God had other ideas. I was contacted this past Tuesday (Aug.15) and was asked to come in the next afternoon.

Wednesday I was up super early because I needed to get my last minute thoughts together and really spend time with God to make sure that I was on the right track before heading into work for a couple of hours. I got off work an hour before the meeting- and really couldn't focus on the content and was considering not going in because I wouldn't be effective. But I knew that God was bigger than my flesh- and I pushed through and went to the meeting- I am sooo glad I did.

I knew from my research that Mr. Galipeau had a lot of the same viewpoints that I would be sharing- so it took away some of the nerves. In the twenty minutes I was with him, we ended up speaking on all of the major issues that are coming up in government. He was very candid and honest in speaking about the laws and his opinions on the subjects. We got a lot further than I expected and was truly blown away by the whole experience.

The most memorable thing that occurred was when I asked how I could help him. He gave me such encouragement- and I have a feeling that he will be contacting me in the next couple of weeks about ways to help him out. Then- (just as I was about to ask)- he told me to pray for him. I told him that I have been praying for him and would continue to do so. Then I had the opportunity to pray with him. I am truly blessed to have experienced this. It was truly a God moment and I am thankful that God gave me the opportunity to meet with Mr. Galipeau.

It was such an awesome experience that I am getting in contact with the other members of parliament in the Ottawa area.

Hey! After the Cry2Him, I was challenged to meet with my MP (who is a Conservative...), which was as easy as phoning his office and setting up an appointment.

I went to his office and just talked with Him for a half hour, and just told him my view on the three moral issues that Canada is voting on right now, Protection Age, Same Sex Marriage, and Abortion. I thanked him for standing up on these issues and fighting for the moral rights of our nation.

My uncle visited our MP the next day, and Rick Casson (MP) told him how impressed he was with my maturity when I visited him.

I was so blessed that the LORD was with me and gave me the words to say... and for all of you out there- it's SO easy! =)

Thanks again,
~Amanda
