Favourite Quote:
"We the unlikely, leading the unwilling have now done so much with so little that we are qualified to do anything with nothing." Mother Teresa
Gandhi once said, "Be the change you wish to see in the world." Although I may not agree with much of his spiritual ideals, many of his activist ideals really set my mind to working.

This last March 12-18 I had the immense priviledge in helping lead a group of young people, along with a few young at heart folks in being the change they've always longed to see in Canada. How do we do that? The answer is simple. You operate in the Spirit of Christ.

We learned that it is not enough to operate in the Spirit of Christ by coming to Ottawa. It wasn't even enough to operate in the Spirit of Christ by praying at NHOP. We needed to operate in the Spirit of Christ through the halls of Parliament, through the Senate and Supreme Court, through the streets of Ottawa and even in front of the Prime Minister's house! We were a sight to see, I'm sure. But the Lord had arrested our hearts.

Be the change you wish to see in the world.

A righteous revolution has been sparked in Canada. The seeds are being stirred. Still I'm not interested if you know that righteous revolution is upon us. I'm interested to know that you know you're a part of it. We've moved from the place of longing for the day when the government will look to the church for answers. We've moved to the place where this is happening now. How do I know? Because I've heard with my own ears our government leaders tell me this. I've looked into their eyes as they've called for us to arrive not just as a voice, but with action.

Be the change you wish to see in the world.

William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army was once questioned about moving to quickly in his work. His answer has been ringing in my ears these last few days. "Can we move too fast in saving souls? If anyone still wants a reply, let him first ask the lost souls in hell."

Be the change you wish to see in the world. Possess the gates of influence in your nation. They are waiting for you.

THIS IS EVIDENCE OF HISTORY IN THE MAKING:

4 MY CANADA/NHOP are The FIRST to SIT in the 39th Parliament's Seats!

This past week 4 MY Canada helped facilitate a team of 70 Jesus lovers on a Siege prayer week with the National House of Prayer. On Friday (St. Patrick's Day) the entire group had opportunity to meet with the Chair of the Conservative Caucus, Rahim Jaffer, thanks to the work of 50 Siegers in Edmonton led by Kayle Mumby who helped get him re-elected.

At 4pm the Siege troop landed in Parliament and were escorted by Mr. Jaffer's assistant to the House of Commons. To our amazement it was not just to gaze in upon the green cushioned seats from the public viewing area (which is the protocol for non-elected visitors), but, he was bringing us right into the gallery of the House to sit in the seats ourselves!! (Pause) This is not 'normal'...unless you have God on your side.

Mr. Jaffer had the 70 of us (young and a few reps from the older generation) sit in the seats where the new natural government will take their place on April 3rd. He looked at us and said, "You are the first group to sit in these seats for this government's term. You are sitting here even before the new Conservative government has." We were blown away.

Faytene Kryskow (4 MY Canada Director) then got to address Mr. Jaffer and give a concise statement regarding the moral stance of this group of young people on the issue of age of sexual consent, integrity in government and the traditional view of marriage (all of which are issues the government has promised to address in this term).

She said, "Mr. Jaffer we want you to know that we are here to stay and that we will support the government in every way possible as you stand for traditional moral values in our nation." Mr. Jaffer as the chair of the Conservative caucus explained to us that anything that is shared with him goes directly to Prime Minister Harper. In effect the group was addressing the Prime Minister and the entire Caucus via Mr. Jaffer in that moment.

Just after this one member of the team had a vision of Jesus facing the group of us with His arms outstretched. Pointing to the group he said, "Behold, my new government."

SIGNS IN THE SKY OVER PEACE TOWER LINK TO THE FIRST SIEGE

As the team walked out of the Parliament we were amazing to look up and see that there was a rainbow prism directly above the Peace Tower! Not a rainbow spanning the sky but a stripe of rainbow directly over the Peace Tower and only over the Peace Tower (no where else)! Reports told us that the rainbow appeared right at the time the team was coming out!

What is amazing about this is that during the last team meeting we had before the first Siege (in Aug. 05) the same phenomena happened directly above the house that the Siege team was meeting in. A rainbow prism appeared just over the house and nowhere else. All of us witnessed the sign that day. Could it be that this rainbow prism is a sign that what God has been birthing in the emerging generation to reclaim the righteous foundations of the nation is now sealed!?! Our spirit's all resonate with this and we are so thankful for the Lord's faithfulness to confirm with signs following. (We are currently trying to trace down a photo of the rainbow prism).

Pictures from the March Siege Week In Ottawa

Saturday, March 18, 2006

Amazing week. This past week we gave leadership to a team of 70 young people from BC, AB & Ont to Ottawa. It was a joing effort with NHOP and was a blast.

We prayed, we weeped, we rejoiced, we met with politicians, we worshiped our God on the steps of the Peace Tower (Parliament Hill). It has been great.

One of the coolest things has been watching these young people catch a deeper vision for Canada and her purpose.

One of the highlights in the natural happened yesterday when on of the more influential MPs gave us access to the House of Commons floor. He took us in there at the end of the day and had us all sit in the GOVERNMENT'S seats on the House of Commons floor!! He explained that we were the first group to get to do this! Wow. What an honour and what a picture--a new government is arising in this hour, we are a people with an new kind of authority that will fight for morality in the land.

These are indeed exciting-days to be on the moral battlefield of our nation.

Bless you all and thanks for your prayers,
Faytene

This is an e-mail I got from a church who has taken up the call....very encouraging...

"Hey Faytene, ...just wanted to write back and tell you how blessed we all were by your visit to Kingston. ... Be encouraged, people were right stirred up after your visit, and we were motivated to make some "strong advancing" into some political arenas, and we've seen incredible favor in our city. Just this week we met with one of city counsellors and our mayor and we were offered the chance to come to the councel meetings and have a voice at the table representing the ministy and speak on behalf of the young people in our city. Just thought of telling you about the fruit that has been developing since your visit, and to honor you again for your visit..., Wes"

Way to go Kingston!!!!
