This is an e-mail I got from a church who has taken up the call....very encouraging...

"Hey Faytene, ...just wanted to write back and tell you how blessed we all were by your visit to Kingston. ... Be encouraged, people were right stirred up after your visit, and we were motivated to make some "strong advancing" into some political arenas, and we've seen incredible favor in our city. Just this week we met with one of city counsellors and our mayor and we were offered the chance to come to the councel meetings and have a voice at the table representing the ministy and speak on behalf of the young people in our city. Just thought of telling you about the fruit that has been developing since your visit, and to honor you again for your visit..., Wes"

Way to go Kingston!!!!

Well most of you have likely heard the news by now...the new Justice Minister (the Honourable Vic Toews) announced that the government is going to be working to raise the age of consent! We think this is awesome!!

Right now in Canada the age of consent is 14. That means a 50 year old man/woman can legally have sex with a 14 year old girl/boy as long as there is an appearance that they consented to it. This has huge problems to it and, some reports have already said, that Canada is becoming a haven for sexual predators because of it.

We interviewed some youth yesterday (12yrs to 16 yrs) about it and they were all totally in support of legislation that would protect them from older wo/men who may want to take advantage of them. It was powerful stuff and we will be editing some of it for Vertigo Correct to help get the word out about all this.

We will be throwing all of our weight behind supporting this move of the government's and hope you will too! Stay tuned on the site and in the news for more on this.

Grace and peace,

Faytene

We are ressurecting the CRY!! This July 15th! This is a first effort at a brochure which should be coming out soon. Stay tuned and keep your July 15th clear. This is going to be a historic gathering for our nation and our generation in Canada. Please start praying into it now and telling your friends about it!

:)

This is cell phone picture from one of our teams in Ottawa. They totally rose up to help out in the election. Royal G., took the show in their riding and they had a blast helping out.

Good stuff!

Well it is election night (late) and it has all been decided in terms of the 39th Parliament. I (Faytene) am sitting here on my bed as I type and, though I am completely exhausted from a full day of working on 3 campaigns this 'election day' (pictures coming soon), I can't seem to sleep.

I feel quite emotional actually....

Around 7pm on the nose tonight I was sitting in a polling station in North Vancouver volunteering. I was totally focused on task when all of a sudden the Holy Spirit came and overwhelmed me right there in the gymnasium. I knew in my spirit things had just shifted in the nation and that the next government had just been announced (though I had no factual knowledge of this). I called back to the headquarters on the campaign that I was helping with and, sure enough, the E-Day coordinator told me, "They just un-officially announced that the Conservatives have won. It is going to be a minority government." Ever since that moment I have not been able to stop weeping. I feel this incredible mix of 'bitter-sweet' (interestingly I have heard this phrase several times over the last few hours here in Vancouver).

#1-it is the feeling you get after you have completely poured yourself out and have nothing (of yourself) left to give...I am sure many who worked on campaigns can relate to this

#2-it is the feeling of incredible gratitude to the God for answering many prayers giving us evidence of the turning of a tide in our land (not endorsing a party here...just stating the facts: there has been a shift)

#3-it is the feeling of deep sadness that some very outstanding brothers and sisters will not be going to Ottawa for the 39th Parliament. In the GVRD there were some gems that ran. These are men and women that carried and amazing heart for our land and I believe would have been some of THE key players if elected. They were incredibly talented, skilled, sharp and tender to heaven.

I feel a deep sense of loss deep in my gut due to the fact that these one's were not elected. Perhaps I feel for them even more because many of them were in my home town and became my friends over the last weeks. I am thankful for the tide that has been turned, and, I thank God for the work of unified prayer He is catalyzing in our nation, at the same time I have a soberness in my spirit of how much work we have yet to do in terms of practical mobilization.

We've only just begun.

A sleeping giant in the nation has awoken but, at some level, perhaps we still need to learn how to run.

Having said that, I am SUPER PROUD (big time!!) of all the young people from coast to coast that did take up the challenge and serve along side pro-morality campaigns. I don't know the final tally but I think the MY Canada-ites helped with 15-20 in total. That is a great start considering we all just got thrown into this last fall by the Holy Spirit. He has amazing timing.

I pray for Prime Minister Harper and his new team and look forward to meeting more of them in the very near future.

OK--I think I need to press "Publish Post" and go pray.
The deep groaning in my spirit is still here and I think I will just take it before the Lord. I will let you know if I get any revelation worth sharing broadly :). Let us know if you do as well.

The MY CANADA Ontario SWAT Team rocks! We have conducted several missions to practically help pro-morality candidates get elected (in some cases re-elected)! AND we've had a blast in the process! I want to especially thank Mark, Beth and Becky for making every single SWAT Team event!! I am so proud of our group of dedicated young Canadians who have taken time out of their lives to pound the pavement (and slush & snow) and distribute literature, knock on doors, data entry, etc. to help these awesome candidates! I want to encourage all of you who have a heart for this nation and are looking for a practical outlet in the last few days of the election to call up the campaign offices of your local pro-God candidate and volunteer a few hours of your time - it makes a HUGE difference on many of the close races! Feel free to check out our WE LOVE THEM list on the MY CANADA website for some of the candidates that we encourage you to support. No better way for a group of friends to get together and do something fun and worthwhile at the same time - I DARE YOU TO DO IT!

We are 6 days before the election and our teams across the nation have been buzzing! I talked with Siegers all the way from Newfoundland to Victoria today that are helping out (and getting their friends to help out) with pro-morality campaigns!

The fire has caught and is spreading--it is so exciting.

Last week one of our members in Ottawa bounced into the campaign office of man running in her riding to ask if there was anything her and her youth team could do to help him in his campaign with. The man said they had just been praying (!!!) and said, "If only God would send someone into our office who would just say, 'What can I do to help'." She was an immediate answer to his prayers. How cool is that!

Another one of our teams in SW Ontario spent the entire day today working on a campaign for a guy that they feel will stand for traditional Christian values if elected.

Out here in BC we are doing the same. A bunch of our Siegers are helping on a bunch of campaigns and I feel so proud of them!! Granted, there is still a lot more we could be doing...but we have 6 days! Come on Canada.

Now is the time to:
1) Volunteer in pro-morality campaigns (check out our "We Love Them" list or give as an e-mail if you have questions
2) Pray for righteousness to be established in our nation through righteous Members of Parliament
3) VOTE on the 23rd for those who will stand for Christian values

This is our time!

We will post some testimonies from the campaign trail in the days to come.

Grace,
Faytene

What a rad afternoon! The Vancouver area Siegers hit the streets today with Marc Dalton to wave signs and sing christmas carols. Marc is running for federal office and is an amazing man. Lover of people and First Nations! From what I understand he is only 1 of 5 indigenious people that are running in this election. Along with this, he is one of our COOLEST candidates (from our perspective) in the lowermainland.

I want to say I had a blast and felt so alive while we were helping this brother. If you are reading this and you have never helped on a campaign I want to encourage you--it is fun and worthwhile. I am constantly being blown away by how just a small group of people can make such a big impact in a riding like this.

Marc is the kind of guy we want in but there are several others like him all over Canada. As of writing this blog entry we have 31 days to the election.

I am crying out that as believers we will truly rise up and notice the amazing opportunity we have to elect people who will fight for Canada.

This is our time! Grab as sign, or a phone, or a flyer and get behind one of the good guys :). Check out our "We Love Them" list to get our opinion on who some of the good guys are that are running.

Christmas blessings!!
If Chistmas is truly about Christ and not us, I want to give him one of the best gifts I could righ now....a nation moving towards righteousness.

All my love and Christmas cheer,
Faytene

We are living in exciting and accelerating days. Our team is running on every front right now with e-mails and phones buzzing. Many in the nation are coming alive with a passion to see awesome men and women set into federal governmental seats in the 39th election. This is our hour Church.

We have been studying out candidates that are running all across the nation and finding that there are many strong men and women that are rising up and running for office right now. We have an amazing opportunity in this coming election (Jan. 23) to elect men and women that will stand for traditional moral values in our nation--who will tear down and build (Jer. 1). This is exciting.

We want to encourage you to find out who the candidates are in your area and get behind those that will stand for the poor, marriage, life and religious freedom. If you need help trying to figure out "whose who" do not hesitate to contact us and we will fill you in on what the different candidates are about (admin@4mycanada.ca).

This upcoming week in Southwest Ontario our Ontario rep, Kelly Linton, will be leading rallies in the region. Exciting stuff! Contact him at ontario@4mycanada.ca for details. I am blazing through the Vancouver area, preaching at several venues and connecting with people to get behind righteous men and women that are running in this campaign.

We are also going to be putting together SWAT teams in the Vancouver area and SW Ontario region to go and help on the campaigns of God fearing men and women who are running. Let us know if you want to get connected.

We are in an amazing hour of opportunity! Let's rise up and seize (SIEGE) it!

Let's give Jesus the best Christmas gift we could right now as a nation: A Canada that is moving towards grace, not away.

Blessings and grace,
Faytene and the team

Hey Canada,
Wow-time flies. I can't believe it has been over a month since we were in Ottawa for the second Siege! Sorry bout not posting much for the month of November. Myself and the team have been on full tilt and just simply forgot. We will be posting on a regular basis from now on (or at least giving it a good shot).

Well our 100 Huntley St. Documentary was aired on CTS this past Thurs!! Yah! I have not seen it but have heard amazing reports, they did such a good job. We loved having the camera crews there with us on the Hill. Someone who saw the documentary was telling me that they had a lot of footage of the MPs giving commentary about our group. She said that one of the MPs was talking about how they so often get lobbied hard for things and that our groups was a breath of fresh air because we legitimately came in simply to honour them and share our hearts. I guess this particular MP began to tear up as he was speaking. Wow, that means so much. One of our prayers was that we would leave the fragrance of Christ in every meeting. This MP was obviously one who was standing for traditional morality already. Whenever we met with these ones we tried really hard to encourage them and thank them for being willing to be a voice for Christ on these issues. When we met with MPs that were not necessarily sympathetic to traditional morality we would always keep honour but share our hearts openly as well.

We had no idea when we stepped out on the first Siege what we were landing in the middle of...my goodness. We are living in amazing days.

Across the nation we are working hard to share the vision that is burning in our hearts. Lots of young people are wanting to get involved in getting people who will stand for righteousness in office if they are elected on Jan. 23 so we are working to get people connected.

We want to keep our promise that we will stand for men/women that are standing for Christ in Canada. (Make sure you contact us at mobilize@4mycanada.ca if you want to get connected.)

Kayle in Alberta is the bomb! Kelly and Michelle in Ontario are running with this like holy-men (women) on fire.
We are all marveling.

I am preaching at Fresh Fire's School of the Supernatural on Monday on all this and am so looking forward to it! I love it when the revival stream meets that national-revolution stream.

Keep us in prayer as we continue to run in the nation lifting this torch high for HIM.

With Love in Christ,
Faytene

I am convinced that the My Canada Siege of Ottawa was a breakthrough event signaling the beginning of a movement that will sweep our nation. I was completely honoured to be part of a national delegation of young adults who came in a spirit of respect to honour our leaders. For many MPs and Senators, this marked the first time that a group from our generation came to visit them not in harsh-protest or with an agenda.

There was a 'buzz' on the Hill during this Siege week, but we recognize that this was only the beginning. This adventure will take courage and persistence, and as a member of this group, I am committed to continue to Stand on Guard until righteousness and justice prevail in this Dominion of Canada.

From October 24th - 29th the Josiah Team met with MP's and Senators from across Canada in their Ottawa offices. Yet why were we there? As one person put it, "How do you get some many nationalities and ethnicities into one room?" The answer is a common vision. As the Josiah team and Intercessor team went through the week I wondered many times how Holy Spirit would work through the lives of the people that we met. Some meetings were classified as good in our debriefing meetings. What this meant to some was that the MP or Senator agreed with what we stood for. In a nutshell we were there to advocate for "traditional moral values". And yes, we understood that this was a loaded term. Thus, in different meetings different approaches were used.

So what was accomplished you ask? So what if a group of young people came to Ottawa to talk to some MP's. The answer to this in some respects remains hidden. What went on in the spirit realm was the real reason why we were there. What was birthed in the spirit realm and will be nurtured through prayer and fasting to grow to the strong man with iron on his back, will be evident in the physical realm in time. Seeds were planted and now have to be watered.

So where to from here? Spread the word. Do you agree with the vision? Whether you were on the Josiah team or are reading this as an interested observer we all have a part to play.

Let us pray for supernatural grace to be obedient to the stirrings of Holy Spirit within our hearts so that we can be a light unto the world and usher in the Kingdom of God to this great country we call Canada. Oh Canada we stand on guard.

Seige Week #2

This is only the beginning!
wow...where do I begin?! The week was just amazing. We made "more of an impact than [we] know" as one MP stated...All that kept going through my head the whole week was, "What am I getting myself into?"(in a good way of course). This is about more than just one good week where we got to talk to some influencial people, it was the beginning of something huge. We definately saw that in the spirit in different times of prayer, and we're already starting to see it in the physical. Canada is hungy for change and desperate for a generation that will usher in that change. Whats beginning to happen is nothing short of a REVOLUTION!

Many of the different MPs and Senators told us how much Canada needed young people like us to rise up and stand and how encouraged they were by our passion and spirit of honour. They meet with many groups of people, some even groups of young people, but it is very rare for these groups to come in and begin by thanking and honouring them for their tremendous work and sacrifice, wether or not they agree with them on certain things.

I can't wait to see what else is in store for My Canada. This is only the tip of the iceberg

Pictures from Friday Night Worship At the Hill (10/28)

Poem Given to MPs/Senators
This is a poem that Faytene received while on the Hill for the second Siege. We put it on a paper bookmark and gave it out to all the MPs/Senators that came to the reception on the 27th.

The dreams of days once past
Echo through these halls
Reaching for a time that's yet to be
And today off these same walls
Is heard a voice that calls
Yearning for this ancient Destiny
O Canada the strong
O Canada the free
Do you know the One who called you forth to be?
O Canada the strong
O Canada the free
Do you know the One who longs to meet with thee?
In days now lived and gone
Was sung an ancient song
Whose melody came from Spirit deep
It's tune from lips of men
Whose eyes beheld heaven
Sang "Dominion be from sea to blessed sea."
O Canada the strong
A day now comes to dawn
This generation looks at what's come
And looks for ones of faith
Who will STAND and build today
Again with eyes uplifted t'ward the Son
So Canada arise, today we call your name
Given by the one who formed your frame
Canada break free to what your called to be
A nation who will worship at His feet

We just completed our second Siege week and leaders roundtable in Ottawa. It was phenomenal and we are coming out of it with tons of vision for where we go from here. We will be posting a full report (with pictures) and future strategic initiatives up on this link soon.

Following is the brief-summary report of what happened in Ottawa this past Oct. 23-29th (pictures and team-member reports coming very soon):

#1-a team of 15 young champions from across the nation joined in for the Josiah team and met with nearly 30 MPs and Senators in face to face meetings. Each meeting was tremendously positive and impacting. Like this past summer, some of the meetings brought both the MPs and the Josiah team members to tears as we shared our hearts to see traditional moral values in Canada upheld. It was extremely powerful (pictures and testimonies from Josiah team members coming soon)

#2 on Thurs. the 27th we hosted a national reception and announced our official launch under the auspices of MY Canada on the Hill. Many of the MPs and workers on the hill were surprised by the good turn out of MPs and Senators a the event. The total number of people in attendance (us and guests) was about 120. The team shared their hearts, honoured the leaders and brought a strong message declaring of our generation "we will live again." Members and Senators have encouraged us to make this an annual event!

#3 MAJOR HIGHLIGHT: on Tues. the 25th MP Myron Thompson of the Conservative party made an official members statement in the House of Commons regarding MY Canada. He announced who we were to the entire House of Commons, declared our heart to see traditional morality upheld in Canada and exhorted the government to pay attention to us. He then lead the entire House of Commons in giving us a honouring applause of welcome, said "Welcome to the House of Commons" and led many of the MPs in giving us a standing ovation!! We were floored. So--we have now been 'officially' welcomed to the House of Commons and will run into this welcome with faithfulness and wisdom.

#4 on Friday night a group of a bout 100 of us gathered on the steps of Parliament to worship and pray for our nation. The spirit of God fell in power and for more than 3 hours we cried out in fervent prayer for righteousness to come to our nation. We are excited and expectant to hear what will come as a result of these prayers. We are excited to report that we have already received testimony back of 1 non-Christian MP who was significantly impacted by God this past week as we were in prayer for our leaders, in honour of this person we are not going to disclose details but let's just say it is a powerful testimony!

#5 on Saturday morning a group of about 40 young leaders gathered to seek God's face and share hearts regarding how to walk together to be a voice in the nation in these days. Many of the young leaders (from across the nation) shared how God had been burdening their heart for Canada and that they believed it indeed was a time for action. Lots of great strategy came out on the table.
